About Annie Maltais

 

Annie Maltais is a fluently bilingual (French and English) lawyer native of Val D’Amours, New Brunswick. She obtained her law degree from l’Université de Moncton in 2007. She started her law career with a Saint John firm and decided to return to the Moncton area where she practiced with a local firm. Annie eventually decided to join the New Brunswick Legal Aid Services Commission to assist vulnerable clients in 2011. After several years as a lawyer with the New Brunswick Legal Aid Services Commission, Annie returned to private practice.  

Annie is a results-driven criminal defense lawyer with 15 years of court litigation experience. She represents clients in a variety of matters with a particular focus on domestic violence cases ranging from common assault, sexual assault to homicide.  As an experienced trial lawyer, she successfully defended clients facing a wide variety of charges such as murder, DUI causing death, sex offences, drugs and child pornography.

Annie takes pride in providing her clients with high quality service while guiding them through the complexities of the legal system. Annie has acted as counsel at all levels of court in New Brunswick.
